How To Use Andrid As Wifi extenter.. If you want to use your android device as wifi repeater / extender there can be many reasons like your laptop is not catching wifi signal where your phone catches it, or you want to use that wifi network on multiple device but you are restricted to only few devices, whatever the reasons be let’s cut it short. There is no any successful app in the market for this purpose. Here I am sharing a very small and easy trick which will work on all android powered smartphones (no root required) to help you from all these problems. So all you need is an Android Smartphone. And follow the steps given below: Connect Your Android Device with any wifi network. Now go to settings and then tethering and portable hotspot. Here you will get two modes to share your wifi network i.e. via usb tethering or via Bluetooth tethering you can connect the other device by any of these options. **Do Not Click On Wifi Tethering as This Will Turn Off The Bluetooth** P.S. : Inbuilt Bluetooth tethering option is only available in Android devices running Android version 4.0 or later. If your android device is not that much upgraded then you can install any Bluetooth tethering app available in the market suitable for your android version like PdaNet + . How to connect using bluetooth tethering: First Of all Pair the android device with the another device via Bluetooth. Now in tethering and portable hotspot enable Bluetooth tethering. For Windows device: Navigate to Devices and Printers Select your android device and right click on it. Select Connect Using >> Access Point Done!!! Now You can use your Android Device’s wifi connection in your Windows laptop. For Android powered devices: On the other Android device select the name of your paired bluetooth android device with wifi connection. Select Internet access in Profile Column. Done!!! Now you can share the Wifi Internet connection on other device using Bluetooth Tethering. There are many drawbacks of this method: Since Both Wifi and Bluetooth tethering are on at the same time it consumes lot of battery. So you can plug your device with charger and use. Also Bluetooth Tethering does not provide as much of speed and Connectivity range as of Wifi Tethering. Other way is via USB tethering, for this we just need to connect the android device with wifi connection to our PC using USB cable. Then navigate to Tethering and Portable Hotspot and select USB tethering. Done!!! Now you are sharing your Android Device’s wifi network to your PC using USB Tethering. This method is also useful when your PC doesnot has the wifi adapter and you want to use the Wifi Internet connection. There is an app in the market called fqrouter 2 which supports wifi repeater option on very few rooted android device. You can give it a try if you want.
